Middle School Curriculum

Explore, Innovate, Inspire

The Middle School, through the school core values of Respect, Responsibility, resilience and integrity, aims to create a caring, inclusive and well-disciplined community where pupils are self-motivated and encouraged to excel. This phase aims at developing the academic as well as life skills of the students thus preparing them for the senior school and eventually for the world.

Middle school is a stage of transition – emotionally, physically, socially and cognitively. Hence we understand that channelizing the energy and emotions of every learner in the accurate and equitable manner is very essential. As middle school educators, we aim at creating a conducive learning environment in order to mould students into confident and self-reflective individuals

The middle school curriculum is well linked to the school’s graduate profile and works towards attaining the long term goal of building world class citizens out of every JSSPSite middle schooler. The curriculum enables students to explore, innovate and inspire thus ensuring the holistic development of the children.

We believe that, when we encourage our students to train their minds and eventually examine their line of thoughts, it brings a more positive impact on the learning outcome. Considering this fact, the elements of Habits of Mind (HoM) and Metacognition have been identified as an indispensable aspect of the middle school curriculum.

We embolden our students to be actively engaged in their learning, become risk takers, confront the challenges, imbibe life skills and enjoy new experiences. To ensure the same, apart from the core subjects, we provide a wide variety of co-curricular activities and opportunities for experiential learning which plays a predominant role in the comprehensive development of the students.
