“Give a bowl of rice to a man and you will feed him for a day. Teach him how to grow his own rice and you will save his life.” ― Confucius
The macro benefit of providing charity work is to offer time and services toward the greater good of the community. It enables students to build a sense of accomplishment and enhance their own self-esteem.
In keeping with the motto of JSS and the vision of JSS MVP to reach out to the needy members of the community, the students of JSS PS came together to form the Hope Club with the primary objective to work for the children who are victims of poverty, as well as to extend support to the needy members of the society, not only around the school, but to organizations across the world.
Instilling the importance of charity work can start at a young age. Parents and students volunteer, which in turn enables each one to realize that helping others is a productive way to be part of a bigger mission and solution to some lingering problems.
The students of JSS PS are strongly committed to reaching out to the society, they take on several acts of charity within the school premises as well as in the community,
“There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.” Exposure to several charities enables students to step into a real world of poverty and suffering, and bring about a realization of what we all are blessed with. This in turn will finally help to create healthier, stronger and socially committed citizens.
